This slide presentation outlines a project by the City of Corpus Christi to improve the performance of its water distribution system (WDS) by using hydraulic modeling. Operation challenges included: to evaluate WDS operation and developcalibration/verification data for EPS Model - prepared for "data collection" event;collected and analyzed preliminary supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) data;reset SCADA data collection settings to minimize datalatching in tank level data;double checked flow meter calibrations;identified best locations for temporary pressure dataloggers;conducted 9 day "data collection" event during"normal" WDS operation;performed detailed analysis of SCADA and loggerdata; and, computed diurnal demand curves for each pressurezone. Topics outlined include: identification of WDS operational challenges; new operational protocol development; positive effects of new protocol; and, demonstration and implementation of new protocol. Includes figures.
