This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the low pressurereverse osmosis watertreatment facility in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. The Hardinsburg project scope was totreat alluvial groundwater for hardness andnitrate removal. The surface water source is presented, along with the groundwater source. A second reverse osmosis (RO) treatment facility, the Pinewoods Water Treatment Plant inLee County, Florida, is presented and had the project scope of increasing the existing permitted productioncapacity of the nanofiltration (NF) WTP from 2.1 to 2.3-MGD through rehabilitation andmodifications to the existing NF system. A new membrane change-out is presented, along with RO expansion, new RO design, and process optimization. A third RO treatment facility, the Winterset, Iowa,Nitrate Removal RO-NF HybridSystem, is presented along with options considered for nitratereduction, concentrate disposal considerations, compatibility with existing process, full scale design, control system interfaces, and full scale nitrate rejection.
